Implement a version of the Indy CLI based on the Hyperledger Indy / Aries Shared Components Marketplace Digital
The Government of British Columbia would like to drop support for the Indy SDK in all BC Gov Hyperledger Indy and Aries deployments. As part of accomplishing that goal, we need a version of the Indy CLI that is based on the Hyperledger Indy / Hyperledger Aries “shared components” – Aries Askar, Indy Shared RS, AnonCreds RS (if needed) and Indy-VDR.
We assume that you already have VS Code installed (if not, head over here). You can either get the Affinidi VS Code extension through VS Code’s sidebar or you can go to the extension page on the VS Code Marketplace.
First, you need to create an Affinidi account and a project.
BlueToque Tools is a collection of software tools for working with DID Method Namespaces, DID Identifiers, DID Documents, DID Agent Service Endpoints, DID Agent Servers, DID Agent Clusters, and DID Objects (the 7 DIDs). The flagship tool is didlang, a language for interactively working with the 7 DIDs.
The new EU anti-money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) rules will be extended to the entire crypto sector, obliging all crypto-asset service providers (CASPs) to conduct due diligence on their customers. This means that they will have to verify facts and information about their customers. In its position, the Council demands CASPs to apply customer due diligence measures when carrying out transactions amounting to €1000 or more, and adds measures to mitigate risks in relation to transactions with self-hosted wallets.

The VC Data Model v1.1 defines the roles different entities play in the data format, as well as two processes: credential issuance and credential presentation. You are probably familiar with a concept of issuers or verifiers in the physical world, but the role of holder could be new to you.
Decentralized Identifier Resolution (DID Resolution) v0.3 11/28/2022, Markus Sabadello (Danube Tech), Dmitri Zagidulin (MIT CSAIL)
DIDs resolve to DID Documents — simple documents that describe how to use that specific DID.
This document specifies the algorithms and guidelines for resolving DIDs and dereferencing DID URLs.
Actors, Objects, and Linked Data Daniel Hardman
Data about individual people is special — not in raw computation, but in the ethical implications it carries. The current W3C data model for credentials grafts such data into the Semantic Web in a way that I consider dangerous. When this is ignored, people are objectified. This is not just troubling, but downright dangerous. We can do better…
The Verifiable Credentials Working Group has published a First Public Working Draft of JSON Web Signature 2020. This specification describes a JSON Web Signature Suite created in 2020 for the Verifiable Credentials Data Integrity Proof specification. The Signature Suite utilizes Detached JWS signatures to provide support for a subset of the digital signature algorithms registered with IANA
ZK DID Method Specification zCloak Network
Currently, we build the ZK DID Method with an unique [Verifiable Data Registry] -- Arweave. [...] Users can query Arweave Transactions via Tags, Owners, Recipients and many other elements. This property plays a significant role during the resolution phrase.
“Taking the fediverse to that next level and seeing the implementation of a standard client API would mean a lot to me,” he said, “because it would unlock a lot of that creativity in terms of the content that we see on the network.”
[thread] Let’s talk about loading JSON-LD contexts at runtime Sam Curren
The prevailing wisdom is that you should NEVER load LD contexts at runtime - it’s a security risk.
Five Things You Need to Know About JSON-LD Credentials in Hyperledger Aries Cloudagent Python Indicio
Where Indy AnonCreds uses credential schema’s to define credential attributes, LDP-VCs use what are known as “contexts,” as described above in Take Away #1. While the feature seems odd, these are similar to AnonCreds schemas, but there are some differences worth mentioning.

Suspicions are roused even further by the fact that when organisations pursue what they call productivity drives and efficiency savings, what it boils down to is sweating their staff ever harder, making them do more with less, piling the pressure (and blame) on them. E

Hundreds, even thousands, of interactions happen along the supply chain for each product before it reaches the consumer. As a result, human touch points along this journey are becoming less feasible, so automation and computers have to find ways to “build trust” in a supply chain data exchange.
Nuggets becomes the only verified self-sovereign decentralized identity to be certified against the UK Government’s Digital Identity and Attributes Trust Framework Nuggets
We believe that in the modern, technology-driven world, an ID will become much more composable than a piece of plastic that sits idly in your wallet. That’s why we’re excited to share a new solution we’ve been working on with early partners as a part of our new Credible Product Suite.
Identity is far too important to develop behind closed doors, thus we are strong believers in free and open-source software, and SSX is dual-licensed under MIT and Apache 2.0. We take security seriously as well, so we are proud to share that SSX has already completed a security audit, with full details soon to follow.

2022 Year in Review ContinuumLoop
Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) is an up-and-coming technology with great promises: more privacy, security and autonomy for the user, while optimizing administrative processes for institutions. However, because of many competitive technological approaches within the SSI ecosystem, there is still a lot of fragmentation within the field of SSI.

If you look at the influx of stablecoins, $160 billion of hard assets went into the crypto ecosystem in a two-year period, and the rapidity of that transfer was because you didn’t have to make the assets from scratch; the assets were already there, you just move them out of the wire transfer land and you put them back into blockchain land.
