Implement a version of the Indy CLI based on the Hyperledger Indy / Aries Shared Components Marketplace Digital
The Government of British Columbia would like to drop support for the Indy SDK in all BC Gov Hyperledger Indy and Aries deployments. As part of accomplishing that goal, we need a version of the Indy CLI that is based on the Hyperledger Indy / Hyperledger Aries “shared components” – Aries Askar, Indy Shared RS, AnonCreds RS (if needed) and Indy-VDR.

VS Code Extension and Affinidi CLI for Privacy-Preserving Applications Affinidi
We assume that you already have VS Code installed (if not, head over here). You can either get the Affinidi VS Code extension through VS Code’s sidebar or you can go to the extension page on the VS Code Marketplace.
First, you need to create an Affinidi account and a project.

Anti-money laundering: Council agrees its position on a strengthened rulebook Consilium
The new EU anti-money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) rules will be extended to the entire crypto sector, obliging all crypto-asset service providers (CASPs) to conduct due diligence on their customers. This means that they will have to verify facts and information about their customers. In its position, the Council demands CASPs to apply customer due diligence measures when carrying out transactions amounting to €1000 or more, and adds measures to mitigate risks in relation to transactions with self-hosted wallets.

Decentralized Identifier Resolution (DID Resolution) v0.3 11/28/2022, Markus Sabadello (Danube Tech), Dmitri Zagidulin (MIT CSAIL)
DIDs resolve to DID Documents — simple documents that describe how to use that specific DID.
This document specifies the algorithms and guidelines for resolving DIDs and dereferencing DID URLs.
Actors, Objects, and Linked Data Daniel Hardman
Data about individual people is special — not in raw computation, but in the ethical implications it carries. The current W3C data model for credentials grafts such data into the Semantic Web in a way that I consider dangerous. When this is ignored, people are objectified. This is not just troubling, but downright dangerous. We can do better…
FIRST PUBLIC WORKING DRAFT: JSON WEB SIGNATURE 2020 W3C
The Verifiable Credentials Working Group has published a First Public Working Draft of JSON Web Signature 2020. This specification describes a JSON Web Signature Suite created in 2020 for the Verifiable Credentials Data Integrity Proof specification. The Signature Suite utilizes Detached JWS signatures to provide support for a subset of the digital signature algorithms registered with IANA

“Taking the fediverse to that next level and seeing the implementation of a standard client API would mean a lot to me,” he said, “because it would unlock a lot of that creativity in terms of the content that we see on the network.”

Where Indy AnonCreds uses credential schema’s to define credential attributes, LDP-VCs use what are known as “contexts,” as described above in Take Away #1. While the feature seems odd, these are similar to AnonCreds schemas, but there are some differences worth mentioning.

The vital issue people avoid talking about MyDex
Suspicions are roused even further by the fact that when organisations pursue what they call productivity drives and efficiency savings, what it boils down to is sweating their staff ever harder, making them do more with less, piling the pressure (and blame) on them. E

Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) is an up-and-coming technology with great promises: more privacy, security and autonomy for the user, while optimizing administrative processes for institutions. However, because of many competitive technological approaches within the SSI ecosystem, there is still a lot of fragmentation within the field of SSI.
