Show me the Money! (Survey)
We (Kailya & Infominer) have been shipping Identosphere’s Weekly Highlights for over 3 years now. To do so requires an assortment of domain expertise, code, regular maintenance, and a dedication to the growth of this ecosystem.
Currently our subscriber base only contributes a total of $400 a month, via Patreon. We believe that is not representative to the value we bring to you, our readers.
We are considering opening up payments via, Substack, and are counting on you to step up to the plate and invest back into the value we bring to the community. We don’t want to make this a subscriber only list, or keep the best news only for paying members. We are working on backend infrastructure to produce more information products that could provide incentive to subscribers, but won’t make promises until ready to ship.
How much would you consider paying voluntarily, even without additional subscriber benefits.

[EVM] Self-Sovereign Identity for Electric Vehicle Charging 204-03-11 Adrian Kailus, Dustin Kern, Christoph Krauß, ARXIV
we propose an approach for using Self-Sovereign Identities (SSIs) as trusted credentials for EV charging authentication and authorization which overcomes the privacy problems and the issues of a complex centralized PKI. Our implementation shows the feasibility of our approach with ISO 15118. The security and privacy of the proposed approach is shown in a formal analysis using the Tamarin prover.
[Education] Why use Decentralized Identity and Open Badges in Education? 2024-03-12, Tim Spring; Indicio Tech
By issuing verifiable credentials for identity and data, an educational institution can remove the need for passwords, locks, key fobs, or access cards, manual checks in the records office, digging through servers, paper documents and more. By issuing degrees through a verifiable credential, any business with the proper verifier agent can immediately know that the information presented to them is trustworthy, removing the need to go back to the school at all.
[healthcare] Self-Sovereignty Identity Management Model for Smart Healthcare System 2022-05-30 Pinky Bai, Sushil Kumar, Geetika Aggarwal, Mufti Mahmud, Omprakash Kaiwartya, Jaime Lloret; MDPI
We proposed a Self-Sovereign identity management system for the smart healthcare system (SSI-SHS), which manages the identity of each stakeholder, including medical devices or sensors, in a decentralisedmanner in the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) Environment. The proposed system gives the user complete control of their data at each point. Further, we analysed the proposed identity management system against Allen and Cameron’s identity management guidelines. We also present the performance analysis of SSI as compared to the state-of-the-art techniques.
